Boat Sinks in Potomac River After Nats Lose and Metro closes

Adding injury to insult, 5 Washington Nationals fans leaving the stadium in DC and traveling south in the Potomac River apparently hit buoy 4 in Old Town Alexandria, causing it to sink.  2 good Samaritan fishermen pulled the 5 waterlogged boaters from the river and dropped them off at the Old Dominion Boat Club and spoke with authorities.

The Coast Guard called D.C. Harbor Patrol, which found the 25-foot, open-console boat unoccupied with a significant amount of damage and impounded it pending further investigation, a D.C. police spokesman said.
