Every year the sun starts to lower and the days get cooler. Once that cool turns to cold, it becomes a real challenge to keep fishing. Those jacket/t shirt days from the spring and the fall ebb away, but the fish remain!! While the a may trout is its own beast, the winter trout are almost as hungry as you’ll be.
This is a budget trip for experienced anglers. We will be offering a Saturday seminar with a Wednesday repeat of the seminar to specifically cover how to adjust to winter fishing, recommended for those who don’t have significant cold weather wading experience. As this is not a guided trip, new anglers will likely struggle with the abstract discussion, the highly technical fishing and brutal banter (not Dr. Banner).
