The 20th annual Lefty Kreh TieFest, the mid-Atlantic’s foremost fly fishing event, will be held Saturday & Sunday, February 22nd & 23rd, at the BWI Marriott Hotel.

“We will once again bring many of the legends of fly fishing to TieFest, but attendees also will see that TieFest 2020 is going back to its roots,” said Tony Friedrich, event organizer. “We are returning to a focus solely on fly fishing with a special emphasis on young anglers.”

Lefty Kreh TieFest will run from 10am to 4:30pm on Saturday and 10am to 2:30pm on Sunday and feature more than 30 tyers demonstrating fly patterns that have proven successful in the mid-Atlantic area, casting demonstrations, shops and equipment manufacturers with their latest products, and some of the most popular fishing guides in the area.  A special addition will be tying classes for kids and novice tyers.  Admission is $10 for adults, kids 16 and under and active duty military are free.

A comprehensive list of tyers, vendors, and other attractions will be at TieFest.com. “One aspect of TieFest that will remain the same is that these fishing legends will be available to speak with anyone attending the event,” said Friedrich.  “Each year anglers can get their toughest fishing questions answered, whether it’s asking Lefty which is the best knot for a certain situation or one of the many local guides about the best time of the year to fish a specific area.”
