The Family & Youth Casting Call (FYCC) is an annual FREE event hosted by the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE), Fisheries & Wildlife Division. DOEE provides fishing instruction, supplies bait, and organizes volunteer fishing instructors to help youth participants learn the basics of fishing in a fun, supportive setting.
Families can bring their own fishing equipment or youth (ages 15 and under) may use the spin casting equipment provided by DOEE. When not fishing, we invite you to explore and enjoy our other environmental education activities and community resources for all ages.
This year's event will be held on **Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM** in Anacostia Park outside of the Aquatic Resources Education Center (AREC). More than 500 individuals attend each year so we ask that you reserve a one hour time slot in advance to hold your children's fishing equipment and spots.
Please complete the following registration information. Be sure to hit "Submit" to complete your registration.
