Learn Fly Fishing With your Kid!
Fishing in the US has long been a form of connection and even mentoring for countless people. Ask any angler and they’ll tell you exactly who got them into angling. I’ve got good news! You do not need significant experience to start spending time on the water with your favorite person! Out outdoor class aims to provide you a very budget friendly introduction to fly fishing and an opportunity to “try it on”. We will have a two part presentation and then an opportunity to work with an instructor to build some confidence in the casting. By the end of the class you should know the fundamentals of fly casting and have tried your hand at it.
For many folks getting into new sports, learning to safely navigate the environment and practice of a sport can be a big barrier to entry. We aim to share information about the dangers and how to prepare for your outings. Most of the risks in fly fishing can be easily mitigated by planning ahead and knowing what to lookout for. Our focus will be exposure to the material and recommended next steps.

Meeting at a local pond, we will start by giving an over view of safety related to fishing and basic casting mechanics.
