Bootcamp is split into a 2 day event: Day 1 is a 3 hour in-classroom event where you'll learn the basics of the sport and how to cast. Day 2 is an all-day on the river clinic learning about trout stream entomology and where you get to apply everything you've learned and catch your first fly-caught trout!

Introducing 10 and 2

Every alternate Saturday throughout the year, we run clinics to help educate the fly fishing community about topics of interest. From fly tying, to conservation, to fishing techniques, and beyond.

When learning to cast a fly line, you’re taught to keep your casting arm between the 10 and 2 o’clock positions to ensure a tight loop. We’ve decided to run clinics at 10am and 2pm in honor of the spirit of these teachings.

Clinics run every other Saturday throughout the year, at 10am and 2pm and range from 30 minutes to an hour. Shop clinics range from travel, casting instruction, gear maintenance, or fishing tips and tricks to make sure you’re a better all-around angler, and are open to the public, free of charge. Instructors for each class vary, and materials will be provided for each student. Attendees interested in joining the clinics should arrive bring with them any gear that pertains to the clinics - if we do a reel and line maintenance clinic then bring your reel!
