Fly Fishing Bootcamp - Spring Dates

Fly fishing can be a difficult sport to master, and can be daunting to the new recruit, so let us help you train and learn and appreciate the sport with our intensive and detail-oriented fly fishing school. Bootcamp is split into a 2 day event: Day 1 is a 3 hour in-classroom event where you'll learn the basics of the sport and how to cast. Day 2 is an all-day on the river clinic learning about trout stream entomology and where you get to apply everything you've learned and catch your first fly-caught trout!

The Second Annual Fly Fishing Show brings together fly fishing enthusiasts and high quality fly fishing dealers for a day of tackle review and conversation. The Show has been set for March 19th, 2022 from 9am to 4pm.

The Maryland Fly Fishing and Collectible Tackle Show will be held in the newly renovated 10,000 sq. ft. Mountain Epicenter in Aberdeen Maryland. Minutes off I-95, exit 85 , Maryland Rt. 22.

7th Annual Project Healing Waters Fly Tying Marathon

The Quantico and Fort Belvoir Programs of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing will host their 7th Annual Fly Tying Marathon in the main gallery of the National Museum of the Marine Corps on Saturday March 28th, 2020 from 9am – 5pm.   Flies created at the event will be distributed to programs across the nation for use at PHWFF fly fishing events throughout the year.

Friends of Fletchers Cove is pleased to join the Potomac Conservancy and the National Capital Chapter of Trout Unlimited for a park cleanup around Fletchers Cove. 
 

 Saturday, November 9th at 10 AM - 1PM
On Saturday November 9th at 10 AM volunteers from the Potomac Conservancy, Friends of Fletchers Cove and the National Capital Chapter of Trout Unlimited will join together to help clean up the park and river banks near Fletchers Cove.

By the end of 2019 FFC will share more details of our efforts to maintain access to the Potomac at Fletchers Cove.

This year’s Cape Lookout Albacore Festival, the Crystal Coast’s premiere fly fishing and light tackle tournament/event is a three-day event and will be held on October 24th - 26th 2019. The festival aims to raise money for our cause and the veterans we serve. The first day is a private Healing Waters Day for Disabled Veterans followed by the Public Festival and Tournament on the second and third days. This year’s festival is full of prizes, auction items, music, food, and most importantly great fellowship. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to try your hand at some of the area’s finest fishing while helping to raise awareness and funds for our cause.
