Alexandria allowing raw sewage to flow into Potomac regularly

The city of Alexandria has decided to continue to allow raw sewage to flow into the Potomac River daily - unbeknownst to local residents, despite the no swimming signs that let the public know that a mixture of raw sewage and storm water washes in during and after rainstorms.

...The city does have a plan to build a huge storage tunnel to contain the sewage runoff from three other outflows, but it has no plan for the biggest one at Oronoco Bay where 70 million gallons of the mixture flows in to the Potomac every year.”
